Where's Liz? Grand Canyon, North Rim

this was great ...dh really wants to go there but our timing is off so much....here till end of Sept not sure when that area closes...where is the closest campground and it doesn't look like we would want to take the 5er down it....

There is a cg inside the park, but reservations likely needed. Jacob Lake NF cg is at the beginning of the entrance road. 5er would fit there. We stayed at Jacob Lake the 1st night and boondocked in the Kaibab NF the second. There is another NF cg halfway down the entrance road near the Kaibab Lodge. I believe there are private cgs with hookups in the area too.

Wonderful pictures thank you Liz. You both must be in great shape to do all those hiking paths. The narrow one looked like the edge was way too close for comfort!
I was surprised to see and A/C unit and a fan in the doorway at Echo's, I thought at that elevation it wouldn't be needed.
