Made it home...

The trip home was uneventful.

I can say..we stopped at an RV park we stopped at last year, it was basic simple and clean. It is actually behind the Days Inn motel and you check in at the motel. You can use their pool, facilities, etc. It has really gone down hill in the last year...it was around the same time of year. The grass areas are weed covered and brown, very few picnic tables, the gravel areas between the sites where the hookup's are..were all full of weeds and such. The basketball court has a broken backboard..I mean as in it is broke and still pieces hanging off. There are a lot more seasonal/long timers there...but I know that does not mean a park is bad..if management handles it correctly. They were there last year also, but their sites were well maintained. It is shame to see it go downhill so quickly. The pool was cold, the sign said it was heated between 80-85 degrees...honestly I do not think it was that warm.

It's a shame they aren't keeping the RV spaces up. I think more motels should put in a few rv sites for people that are just looking for a place to stop for the night. I have stayed at a couple over the years.

I read something on another forum about a family that is suing Wal-Mart because they were attacked in the parking. I bet it won't be long before no one will be able to overnight at Wal-Mart. There are new signs in our Wal-Mart that no trucks and trailers can park. I don't know what kind of trucks and trailers they are banning

Martha.

That was so sad about the family at Walmart...I do not understand the suing them part. Bad things happen and can happen in rest areas or even "secure" RV park.

We live about 20 min form two different walmarts..one allows overnight parking the other does not. The one that does not..it is more of a local city ordinance..as you can't stay overnight in any store parking lot.
