Got home an hour or so ago. Had a good 3 day stay.
This park is on the Columbia River in Woodland, WA. The park is more for upscale campers in that there weren't many of us little guys there, mostly huge diesel pushers.
Everyone was super friendly!! I had a full hookup site w/cable, and WiFi if I wanted. With my GS discount it came to $62.80 for two nights.
The office offered an exchange library and there were many games and puzzles on the shelves, too. They also had lawn games to use.
All dogs had to stay in the 'dog designated area" at all times! A guy rode around in an electric golf cart and really checked that everyone was complying with the rules. My SIL stopped by to check on my AC and his car was a bit off my site and on the road and he was told to move. All visitors have to check in and there's a $5 charge for their car, $2.50 per person to swim. Although it was nice, it just isn't my kind of CG. I love trees, trails..more woodsy.

Backside of office. In the evening people came out in droves with wineglasses in hand to sit out on the upper deck.


Altho they were strict about keeping dogs off the lawn around the sites, they did offer a huge area for the dogs. Would have been nicer if they could have gone off leash, but a fence would have spoiled the view of the river from the rigs.

Behind me was this little Roadtrek w/a single lady and dog. Only glimpsed her briefly, pretty much stayed inside.

GDs came both days to swim, brought their friend, Macy, too.


Choco was not liking all the wind noises. It was lifting my bonnet causing the magnets that hold the corners down to lift and reattach!

That might not have been your idea of a perfect campground, Lenora, but it did have pretty views and looked very well kept. I'm glad you had this chance to take Little Missy out and enjoy time with your granddaughters. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Vickie, it was very well maintained, and they worked hard to keep it that way.
The biggest difference, peoplewise, is the friendliness of the campers. In this park everyone stopped to chat!
In the morning my dog got to play with 6 other little pooches that were being walked. What a tangled mess of leashes we had, but we laughed at all their antics!
When I mentioned that my GDs loved little dogs one guy invited us to stop by so they could meet his little Avery. A 15 mo old, oh, I always forget how to spell it, but it sounds like "chit zoo".

Looks like a great place to take the gds. Nice campground.

Lenora - Thanks for sharing your weekend. Maybe the woman in the Roadtrek was from the forum?? Looks like your grand daughters were having a good time in the pool. Did they get to sleep in your little Missey??

Oh, the doggie was a Shih Tzu. The only reason I know is because my Rags is a Shih Tzu.

Sleeping? Not much. The constant wind had Little Missy rockin n rollin plus my windshield bonnet kept lifting and flapping. I was surprised that it picked up after dark. Generally the wind dies down then.

Lenora, did you have your windshield wipers on top of the cover - and it tight over the side doors - so that the magnet was all the way at the corner? I only had trouble with flapping once - and made sure after to get mine on better - and it didn't flap when I was in 60 mph winds after that. Actually it didn't flap in the two tropical storms - don't want to even think what those winds were. Maybe I was just lucky in the direction I was facing - but I sure did rock and roll

Beth, yes I always have the wipers on the outside to hold down the front but it wasn't the front that was flapping about. It was the sides. The magnets, even though they are very strong, just couldn't compete with those gusts. Perhaps it was the angle I was parked, too.
