Saturday nite I went to a Poker Tournament fund raiser for my nieces husband who was in a devastating car accident 2 years ago. He's in a rehab program that is very expensive but is doing phenomenal work with parapalegics in San Diego. I had a blast and even managed to stay in the tournament for a couple of hours despite only playing Texas Hold'em on the computer on a downloaded game I've had forever. The food was great, company was great, got to visit with some family I haven't seen in years and I told her to be sure and invite me to the next one. I was out of town for the first one. I'm including his blog in case anyone is interested. If you do look at it be sure and go down close to the bottom and read "Raven's Letter". It was written by Mark's 7yr.old daughter. She's a pretty smart cookie!

Thanks for sharing that Sharon. It's great to see all the great improvements that have been made in the SCI field and how it touches lives of the individual people.

Thanks Sharon - glad to have read that. And glad you had fun playing - too bad I'm not near - would have loved to have taken part in the tourney.

Evidently not, I didn't win!! Just held my own for a while but did win a couple of big pots. One on a full house, one on 3 aces. Got to cocky with 3 kings and had a straight flush clean me out.
