Interesting, not as beautiful, but still interesting. It's always a learning experience to see the places you go!

Thanks Liz for sharing your pix. Are you going to or have you already visited Shoshone Falls in ID?? If so, were they as beautiful as Niagara Falls?

Never heard of this park..very interesting!
Yes Linda, Shoshone falls is beautiful on a smaller scale than Niagara, as long as the water level is up. I've seen it with a ton of water and seen it with little water. Both ways were beautiful in their own way.

Thanks Sharon - what seasons have you visited Shoshone Falls in ID?? I've read - best time to visit is spring but believe ID had lots of rain this year.
That's how I knew where the Craters of the Moon is - believe they are close to Shoshone Falls. Liz visits such great areas!!

Smaller??? Shoshone falls is taller then Niagara.
(Idaho is my home) But by this time of year the water level will be down due to irrigation. The best time to see them is Spring and Early summer. They are really cool if we get a ton of snow and the snow melt is high.

I haven't seen Liz's pictures yet, but did check out Kris's youtube videos. I think I prefer the lesser water with more rock formations exposed.

Sorry Kris, they just didn't look as big to me, but I thought they were prettier. I was there in June and August, 2 separate years. Spent about a month bumming around Idaho in '05 and really loved the state. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings!

I tell people that all the time...didn't hurt my feelings..that is why I had the smilie. They are taller but not as long across which makes them appear smaller to many people.
While in college it was my favorite place to go and study and have picnic dinner.
