My fridge is talking to me ...

... but not in the way it usually does!!! Instead of beckoning me with visions of expanding thighs ... this time it is beeping at me: "door ajar! door ajar!" Of course, the door is shut tight. And if it beeps long enough ... the fridge then shuts OFF.

So I know yet ONE more thing I need to get fixed when I get off of the island. !#&%mumph$#@*grrr

So ... lesseee ... I need to get the fridge sensors & the black tank shut-off valves fixed. Get a little body work done ... (on the RV too!)

Mine must not have it - or it was broke when I got it - never had my fridge beep at me - not even when it did break down - but the light did work to let me know there was a problem - if I looked at it :) (I do now.)

I posted this issue at RV.net and got a lot of good help from folks with the same fridge (and the same problem).

So - can you tell us what they think? Someone else here might benefit from the answer. (And, yes, with the thousands of members there - you should be able to get an answer!)

Okay, it's a four-door fridge -- two freezer compartments up top, and double-door fridge below. At the tops of the doors are switches that turn the lights on and off when the doors open and close. I'm told that the switch above the right-side door is the culprit. The "dr" alert + beeping occurs when the switch isn't completely compressed. Some posters have added washers on the bottom hinges to re-align the doors. Others have adhered those little flat plastic floor casters to the top of the door to increase the friction on the switch.

Now you know as much as I do. LOL.
