You can use the house film on all but the windows to the cab area. You have to use the specialized ones if you want to put it on those windows. I rarely shut all my curtains, etc when I leave - figure whatever dog I've had in here at the time wants to see out. So, I leave the shades up over the sofa. And they have access to the cab area and unless I have the outside white cover on, can look out from up there, also.
I had used the truck/car window film on my drivers and passengers doors to see if it helped me with the sun - but if I were to do that again, I'd pay the price for it to be done correctly. Opening and shutting windows eventually ruined that. That wouldn't be a problem on something like my over sink window. But be careful on the windows that open. Make sure it's not going to catch when you do open the windows.
