Has anyone replaced their mini blinds or day/night shades with curtains? I am thinking about doing it in my BT Cruiser. If you have pictures, I would love to see them.

I didn't replace the shades but I added inexpensive insulated curtains hanging with tension rods. It really helps in the colder temps. I am guessing that they might help in the heat too but I haven't been traveling in the summer since I got them. It also keeps the light out for late sleeping and/or naps. :)

I replaced all the day/night shades in my RV with those cellular cordless shades. They do keep it warmer/cooler and were no more expensive than the day/night and NO CORDS.

Yup! I did! After the day/night shades broke for the third time, I decided I didn't need to fuss with the darn things anymore. The shades in our older rigs had thicker cord and only needed to be restrung once (after 10 years). This newer rig's shades have very thin cord.

I took the privacy drape from the overhead bunk, which I never use for sleeping, and utilizing the hem that was already there, cut them to fit on a tension rod. Works like a charm and this way all the material in the rig matches.

I bought mine on line. Check out www.blindsaver.com. They carry several different brands - I bought some that were on sale. Picked out a color, width, etc. They make them to fit your windows. I love mine. Instead of valances I leave the shades down about 7 inches to look like a valance.
