A Sunny Day in Silver City

FINALLY the weather has cleared - mild wind (normal for New Mexico) and no snow flurries like we had the other day. Got off work and decided to take Sophie for a ride. First we went to the local cemetery to see Billy the Kid's mother's grave. Bullard, who founded Silver city is also buried there - "killed by Indians" and also a Pinkerton grave - don't know if he's the famous Pinkerton of the old west or not.
Inside of the old bar in Pinos Altos.
The old Pinos Altos museum.
Off tomorrow and might take a picnic lunch and Sophie to Lake Richards.

Neat pictures, Karen. There is so much history in the west. Kisses to Sophie.

Sounds as if you have found a "ride along" partner. As long as the nature of the trip and temps allow, mine will jump in the car no questions asked! Thanks for bring us with.

Neat area, can't wait to get back to it. Glad Sophie's turning out to be an exploring pal for you...the other two don't mind getting left home while the "upstart" gets to go?

As for the other two guys being jealous, Buddy can't quite get his balance in the car and Sassy goes from the front to the back to the front, etc. They would much rather stay at home on the bed.

Geez Karen, This past week you had snow flurries!!! I heard it was cold up that way, but didn't think THAT cold. I did replace the short sleeved T-shirts with long sleeved for my trip to California. Hope to see ya end of May. Make it warm up before then, please. Belly rubs to Sophie and scratches to Buddy and Sassy, with cheers to you.

Seems like a fun day. Glad Sophie is a good traveler. That guy certainly looks like a "fixture".
