Since her mother didn't bring her camera, it is a good thing that Kate's brother Ben got his hands on one. The wedding was held at the home of Lucas' parents in Concord, NC. When the rain started about 30 minutes before the ceremony the tables got moved from the back yard/garden to the garage and inside the house. I was really good at collecting and re-covering tables! Kate and Lucas only invited about 70 people and we all fit! We were on the porch watching them stand out in the rain. They didn't have anyone stand up with them on Sat but did accept umbrella holders...and they had already gone to the court house the day before and Lucas' mother and I served as the wttnesses. They had fun! Now to get my hands on some of the stills. I am hoping that Ben will put them on a disk and mail them all. He took bunches....

Cool video of all the pics! I hope you can get a disk so you can post some and tell us who is who. I knew your daughter because she's just as pretty as her Mom! Looks like it was a fun wedding.

It's never too late!

The pinata was filled with gold cover Choc coins, something else and tiny individual bottles of Wild Turkey.

Everybody looks elegant and happy in spite of the rain. Great pictures.

The video made me feel like I was there, in the rain, with everyone I HAVE to say Mom, that for all your stewing about what you were going to wear, you cleaned up REAL NICE.
You looked really pretty !! Looked like a really happy and good time. Still hoping for those pictures !

Never to late to post a daughters wedding pictures on here. Think we all love weddings and they are such happy times for us Moms, thats a really special time, we want to share with all of our Sistahs on here.

Thanks for posting the wedding pictures. Loved what they filled the Pinata with and had to chuckle that your daughter was worried about what you would choose to wear(which I thought was lovely) when I saw the grooms sneakers !

I smiled when I saw the sneakers, too! But then I was sitting on a towel on the front steps so that I could get a front "pew." It wasn't very difficult to figure out why the weather not cooperating was really not the end of the world for either of them. It was all about having their family and friends around to celebrate and share with them.

Now, that was a wedding! A true celebration of two people in love and wanting to share their joy with family and friends. And yes, I agree with Carol, Tina, you clean up real nice!
