ducks out of line

I just can't get my ducks in a row!

I guess Wanderin' Star didn't like her name....she blew a fuse....and then another. She's been in the shop for a week with what now appears a major (say $$$$) electrical short and won't be ready for my planned trip to AL next week. The tech is going to have to dismantle a lot of the inside...cabinetry, headliner, etc. to get to the problem. Will have to wait until that gets resolved before I dare take her anywhere. Hopefully not too long. :(

Gee Liz, sorry to hear about your misfortune. But hopefully once it's fixed that should take care of the problem.

And here I am debating as to whether or not to go 200 miles from me to look at a 2000 Fleetwood Jamboree Rallye 23b. Now that rig is 10 years old but reportedly in showroom condition. Now if I were to buy it..... problems down the road here? But then new ones have problems too. :)

Maybe she just wanted a makeover, you know how females can be. :D I'm just glad that nothing happened while you were on your trip to TX. Sending prayers for a good solution/repair.

You know we're looking forward to seeing you - whenever you get here. But getting here safely and later is better than sooner with major problems. Hope that they can get taken care of less expensively than you're thinking. Hate those types of problems. Good luck!

Sorry about the delay and problems with RV. As Beth said, better a little late with problems resolved than on time with a handful of other things with which to deal. We are sending some rain to help line those little duck back up.
Hoping to see you soon.

Oh dear, Liz. Wandering Star might need a name change to Nova!

Sure do hope hey can figure out what's up with that electrical system----could it be that a mouse or squirrel has been busy chewing on some wires? It has been so good for so long that it really seems to be a mystery. I'll be thinking of you and waiting for an update. It has to be so very frustrating as I know you were ready to roll to Beth's and Jean's campground.

Liz, I FINALLY remembered the movie for Wandering Star - PAINT YOUR WAGON. Took me several days of it almost being on the tip of my tongue. At least I didn't wake up at 3am remembering. Loved that song. Maybe that should be our forum theme song. Come on Mitch or Vicki, find us a link for the song. My wiring runs under a false bottom in my cabinets, mostly. Fingers crossed for WS and your pocketbook.

LIz,

I am very sorry to hear this. Hopefully, the Wondering Star will be repaired sooner and much less $$ than expected!

The positive, you made it home without any electrical problems.
