"Moo Moo" trailer park

A recurrent fantasy has occupied my mind for the last few years. It's a place called "moo moo" trailer park. One would enter the property and pass a ceramic cow which would have a relay on it so that as you drive past the black and white
cow it goes, "moo moo" from a rather loud speaker. Once on the property, the popular form of attire is a moo moo, worn
bra less. The idea is to live in a place where it doesn't matter what one wears, underwear or not. This is not a nudist
colony, only a freedom colony.

There would be only a few motorhomes or trailers on maybe seven acres with another seven being very natural and open to the residences use. Each residence would have an acre or so of land and their own world of privacy though each residence would be connected to the others by way of mowed or cleared paths having solar powered, dim, lights on the pathways.

In the natural land would be a few acres of pasture, irrigated where some farm animals would be free, some horses and goats, maybe a couple alpacas, maybe one cow for milking purposes.

Only women would live in moo moo land, not because of any dislike of men but because of the mutual support which is unique amongst women. There would be no children on the compound, only visiting children. This is a retired
women's community.

Each site pays a monthly amount to me, the landlord. The sites would each have at least one, probably two, large
rain collection containers drawn from an overhang structure that could act as an outdoor patio in the middle area. it would have to be landscaped and designed with some visual appeal. Solar panels would be on the top and interface
with the underground electric system. Each site would have a dump station that is tied in underground to a general
septic field. Phone, septic,electric, all that kind of utility stuff would be underground, of course. Of course, pets
would be allowed.

I would welcome anyone's thoughts on "moo moo" trailer park. Right now I have four tenants, two who have been renting here for almost twenty years, the third many years. It is simply the best living amongst people who are like
minded. It's supportive and fun even though we might go days without seeing or speaking to each other. We also
help each and other out on occasion, saving trips to town, to the bank or for car repair.

I might have to do a 1031 exchange with my current farm and I don't want to have a large structure with rental units
anymore. But I love the sense of community and was thinking this might be a good alternative. Also, I want sustainable. I want a greenhouse, might even live out of a greenhouse/solarium structure with some pre-fabish
add on for the really hot months. Lap pool, lots of outside living space. This is all part of the fantasy.

Sounds like you have already gotten started on it with your current tenants (and the animals). Would you do that down in Texas or where you are now? You could have a large community garden to grow your own food! Sounds like an interesting plan!

What a neat idea!!! Something like this would be so supportive and self-sustaining! I may have to work up a map and diagram of the place, as my brain picks up on your fantasy images!

It sounds very much like the old communes in the 60s, but with women who have learned enough over the years to not shirk duties and responsibilites to party and get high! (That was the major flaw in commune-living back then. The person in charge of planting forgot to plant! Or the person in charge of harvesting forgot to harvest----and on and on!)

I love your fantasy! Very interesting concept.

Sounds good here! I don't think Ebbie is thrilled tho. LOL She loves the idea but is only 29 at the moment. So being a retired community would shut her out. We've run into a LOT of campgrounds that wouldn't rent a a space cause she was under 55. Jerks, it's not like she was a screaming, squalling brat running around being a PITA. ~sigh~

Keep working on that fantasy as it creates equal fantasy images in my head.

Awesome idea! ! ! I have entertained an idea similar to yours (minus the MOO) as I have almost 50 acres and am wondering what to do w/ it that would help me out the most w/ my retirement.
The first question I have is about the septic system. How many or how BIG would it have to be to tie in to a dozen or so campers,, + dump station.. and/or washateria type thingy for those who don't have their own.. etc... wow!

what a concept! THANKs tons for posting this! oh, another question.. would it TIE you to home, or could you leave it and travel at least part of the time?

I had another thought.... a small wind generator.. it's pretty windy most all the time on my hill,, sometimes a lifesaver when it's really HOT! Yeah, it gets HOT down here in Texass! ! ! that's why I always wished I could be in the the mtns in summer and HOME in winter. sigh........

I'm so sorry I'm so late in replying. And, thank you, everyone for your response. I'm having trouble with my posts...A lot of them aren't going through, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. And, I've been out of town for three days so I"m also
behind.

In response, NO, there would be no age discrimination in my fantasy. I carelessly misused the term retirement, I think.
I think a mix of ages is always a good thing, particularly the older one gets. I even wonder about the eventuality of
of an initial women pairing up with a man after she has moved into moo moo land. I think that would be o.k. also. I just feel, myself, strongly about the kids feature. No people with children living at home. Kids are a whole other thing on noise, liability and, really, accountability.

I am thinking Texas Barb for moo moo land. And, I don't in my fantasy imagine a commune. Everyone would be free to do what they wanted with their own acreage (save for the required trail access) and own gardening, which isn't to say there couldn't be a community garden for people who want to participate in that, but nothing like assigned tasks for people. No, no....I want freedom for me and others. If someone wants to be a total recluse, it's o.k. with me.

And, I love the idea of the windmill and generator but have some concerns and, not enough information. I love birds, birds going free, and, windmills are very bad for birds. Can kill them. But, I think a kind of mesh, like hardware wire thing could be built around the blade circumference to protect the birds, even hummingbirds (not that I know they even fly up that high). It would look horrible, however. I think someone, enough people could problem solve these concerns however....there is always a way to do something. Just needs enough networking and enough people to
figure it out.

I think elevation is key for lots of stuff, certainly for bugs and temperature. I live at 1300 ft., not so high but, I am the highest point for miles around, hence the property's name "the knobit" because it is identified so on areal maps. Makes one think of hobbit, doesn't it but, that's not the case. I have nothing to do with it. To the issue, with that elevation, I have NO MOSQUITOES here. Can eat outside all I want. Sleep there, garden in the full moon, anything I want. No bites. Fucking love that......hmmmmmm, I'm sorry, I bet we don't swear on the forum. Point is, heat, even Texas heat, I think might be o.k. with shade and elevation. Tell me, am I wrong? Even a cave area (as in making on
through excavating into a hill side. One an drop the temperature fifteen degrees, no? For me, breeze is healing and
through stillness can often be just fine in awful heat. But then, I tend to sleep afternoons anyway. I live in shifts, morning to one, then hit the bed, and one in the morning then hit the bed.
