Well, girls, I have died and gone to heaven, my piece of paradise for about 2 1/2 months. Celebrating my retirement! Yes, I'm still doing that. For pictures take a look at my blog. I won't ever be able to do this again, unless I find someone who can keep me up! LOL Anyway, if anyone is in the area, give me a shout, PM, and we can gtg. Life is so good right now!

Holy Cow, Carolyn! If I designed a site for myself, it would look just like that! I can't believe you have your own little tropical covered patio, and your own DOCK with a ladder to get in and out of the water! Let's see, if I divide 3500 by 2.5 months, I come up with about 1400 per month, or about 47 per day for paradise! Where else, in this country, could you have all that you have for that amount of money???? Absolutely amazing! I only hope I can find such a place for me to reward me for retiring!

What is the temperature down there? Is there always a breeze? Will you have to use AC all the time? (I seem to remember the keys as being nice and breezy, even if it's hot.) How are the bugs? What's the water like? If I don't get a new, larger trailer, I could afford to do that! Does the air smell fishy down there? Another thing I remember about the keys was the constant smell of fish, but that was in the 60s when all that was down there were fishing huts and fishing piers! Now I need to go to the campground's webpage and check that out.

Thanks for posting to us about your SUPER WONDERFUL retirement present! Is there any airport in the keys where my kids could land if they wanted to visit me?

By the way, I'll be there in about 2 weeks, so leave that little banner up, and have a wineglass ready for me! (Just a wish!)

P.S----what's in that little jar with the yellow cover? Are those doggy snacks?

Soos, wow, lots of questions. Let's see. The temp yesterday was 79 sunny and a nice breeze. Always a breeze down here even in summer it only gets to about 85-90, not too bad w/breeze. Haven't run into bugs yet, guess the wind keeps them down. Lots of shade here. I didn't use AC and won't unless it gets unbareable or when my company comes and if they want to use it then I'll turn it on. Utilities are included in the price (better be, right!) so if I wanted to keep it arctic in here I could. The water feels good, I didn't get all the way in but put my legs in. Good thing is I can snorkle and kayak off my dock. Price runs around $1100 mo.

Air does not smell fishy although they fish from the docks, not one of my things.

Come on down, wine is chilled, grill can be ready in a few and hammock is out waiting for the first guest. My friend, Theda, is flying in from Nashville on Tuesday so can't wait to share this great place w/peeps. Oh, there is an airport. Most connections change in Miami and they jump on a small plane to fly into Key West.

BTW, it's stone crab season and I'm having some delivered on Tuesday. Yummy.

Oh the little jar, very observant, is bungy cords(Walmart.) When I use them all I will save for treats, great idea.

Now I wish we had headed south-especially since our trip to Europe might be cancelled due to volcanic ash. carold
