FINALLY
the census bureau called for my part time job, more details
later but they wanted to know if I was still interested, so now we're playing
phone tag. I called back and left the message that I was and for the lady
to call me back.

Good news Ava! Now just get that phone tag taken care of!

its gonna be tough getting off work and then going to another job. Although I will
be able to do my own hours so I can come home first and take care of the dogs and
then go for a few hours. I feel bad for my puppers but its not forever and it will
certainly help me catch up on my debts. I'm excited and scared at the same time.

I've found that having two jobs isn't so bad if they are completely different types of work. I used to do data entry full time during the day and cut hair at night (oh wait, that's what I'm doing now!). Anyways, sitting at a computer all day without talking to anyone, it was a great change for me to go to the salon where I could move around, be creative, and talk all I wanted. So I actually looked forward to my second job. So it might not be a bad thing, especially if you are able to talk to adults in the evening, after talking/listening to kids all day.

Like you said, it's just for a short time, so the pups will just have to understand !
I'm sure you'll feel better if you can catch up a bit - way to go !!
Oh, if it sucks and the hours don't work for you - you can always quit ! Tell yourself you'll give it a good 2 weeks (or whatever timeframe you want) and if it's horrible after that time - consider quiting or cutting back on the hours if you can.

Hope it works out well. The furkids will just be happy when you're there and napping when you're not. And if they get upset, just tell them it's something you're doing so you can buy them yummier treats.

Congrats Ava. Will you be going door to door? If yes, be careful of your safety. At least it won't be forever and just think of the extra money.

I got the "first" notice that the census surveys are coming in the mail. Next is the postcard notice, then the actual census. The gov. (us).is spending $10 mil just to print up and send out these notices!!

Congrats, Ava. It'll be nice if you can have some extra money saved up for next summer when you aren't working. Or at least not have to scrimp and save soooo much. I did Census work before and enjoyed it. I hope you do also. It was a great part time job for me the year I did it.
