This will be brief as we are about to take off exploring again. Yesterday was an interesting day. We went to visit Tonala which is a great big marketplace. We were there in 1978 and it was a tiny town. Now it is part of Guadalajara. On the way there we had a nice visit with a Mexican Motorcycle Policeman. Then we saw glass being made and zillions of plaster vases being made. Also so many things for sale I can't begin to show them. I updated my blog with the whole story, masses of pictures and a couple of videos of the "making" processes.
http://www.mexicobymotorhome.blogspot.comtoday we are visiting another manufacturing town. My shoes are wearing out.

Anytime I read Interesting Mexican Encounters I never know what to expect! I read about your motorcycle cop. In one of the English printed newspapers in Baja there was an article about these people who had rented a car. They got pulled over for having tinted windows. They explained they had rented the car in Mexico. He let them go and when they took the car back they explained what had happened. The guy told them they should have told the cop to *@#% off. Yeah right, as if any of us are going to do that!

so what would have happened if Bill had given him the license in his hand? Would he have kept it? Quite the story. I'm so glad it had a happy and friendly ending.

If you give them your license they keep it until you go to the police station/court and pay it.

Tried to go on your web page and my Avira Anti-virus denied me access...said it was infected or had a virus. Did your page have it's shots before you crossed over the border????
