Okay ladies - i need input again from those of you who have traveled in this neck of the woods. Tomorrow I will be passing thru Tallahassee and only have about 4 hours worth of driving to do so...anything interesting I really should see in the area? Two things looked interesting from their website - a Spanish fort, I think called San luis, where costumes etc are of the correct era and some Indian burial mounds or archealogical site. Anybody been to either of these? Worth a visit or just pass on by? Haven't done a whole lot of touristy stuff since LA due to severely congested areas - no where to park the rig or make me even want to go explore much. Will be spending a week in Savannah where I know i will out tourist myself but I'm always game for new experiences. Secondly, I was going to go straight from Savannah to Myrtle Beach but now I'm thinking I should stop in Charleston. RV parks look a little pricey there but did find one that has a shuttle downtown, bike and kayak rental, and large dog park with beach access so I'm really tempted. Besides, it's getting spring break time and Myrtle Beach could very well be a zoo. If I stop in Charleston for a few days, I could either just go to Huntington Beach, south of Myrtle and skip Myrtle altogether, or start heading inland to North Carolina. Thoughts anyone? I love beaches, but have been at various ones for several weeks and I really do Not want to copes with hordes of horny colleges kids in search of th endless party.

Ali,
check out my blog. Much easier to post pics to than here and more room to narrate.

For pure beach I would recommend Huntington Beach over Myrtle Beach state park. It is smaller and the beach quieter.
