We were in Chapala 32 years ago and it was just a sleepy little town - it has sure grown up since then. Just a few pictures I took there
These women are weaving a heavy blanket type material - beautiful work. This one sits with her legs straight out and her feet covered with a cloth

This one sits on her feet all day

A couple of the people we saw there

And the wiring the city did to give illumination to the area
Image
A fountain of net fishermen near the pier

Don't know what happened to the other pictures I uploaded to PB - they just disappeared.........
Getting ready to go to downtown Guadalajara again. Interesting city.

Great pics as usual, Carol. My back and legs hurt just looking at those weavers.

Had to smile at the wiring! Beth and I had commented on how you were responsible for your own safety in Mexico. They were working on the sidewalk and everyone had to walk in the street to get by them. In America it would have been all cordoned off. Often we were walking on the sidewalk and would pass a gap where a house had been and there was just a big foundation hole, no fence. And bumps and cracks in the sidewalk...sue city in the US. I love the colorful pictures you post Carol, now go hunt up the ones you lost. :D

I have to agree with Ava how in the world do they get up and walk after sitting on their
feet all day. I can't sit on my feet 5 mins and get up and walk

I always love your colorful photos of Mexico. You certainly see the REAL Mexico, not the tourist hyped stuff. Nice!
