We drove up to the small town of Santiago Ixcuintla last week to go to the Huchol Center - couldn't find it but did find this mural - it is on both sides of the road and about 15 - 20 feet high - completed in 1995 called Mural of our Roots - enjoy

This is the church there - couldn't go in as there was a funeral going on

And this is a close up of the columns in the gazebo - kind of interestering

We're now just north of Puerta Vallarta - for how long - don't know. Very hot here for me. Thinking about heading back north after delivering package to my cousin just out side of Guadalajara - Jennie is getting just a little small!

Wow that is mind blowing! I can't even begin to imagine the time, effort and artistry that went in to that mural. That is beautiful. Boy I would love to tag along behind you guys to MX. ~sigh~ Someday we will get there! Kelly had better get her butt busy and get back into learning and understanding Spanish. ;)

Sometimes when you just find something its better than what you went looking for it. Beautiful columns on that Gazebo! All is well in Baja, we are not posting much as we are still in the Mulege and Bahia Concepcion area. We leave around the 1st of March and will do the whale watching trip.

Those murals are fantastic. So much artistry in Mexico. And seemingly, in small towns. Thanks, as usual. carold

Wonderful pictures, as usual, Carol! I like that church better than anything else in that series, I believe. The colors, the columns, the gracefulness of it-----just amazing. I find the murals too busy and confusing for my liking----although very colorful. The gazebo columns are also very unique.

Thank you for the latest pics of where you are! Being too hot boggles my mind right now!
