About 3:30pm today we got a wing-dinger of a thunder storm....heavy rains and hail....so much so that it looked like snow.... took some photos after it quit....

The pile of hail that fell from our tarp over our screen room...
The size of the hail was about pea size....
Ernie says I should e-mail these to U-report at Fox News .....for the weather report... :? :?

The storm lasted about an hour, maybe a little longer.....we're fine, but the guy down the road a bit lost his awning with a tree branch thru it....

Wow! Hail can really cause a lot of damage, so I'm glad you didn't suffer any. Would hate to have heard that your new truck was damaged! Or your awning and outside room was damaged - or anything of yours was.

Tell Ernie to have a beer - he needs one, and you should bring out the wine LOL

Is it normal for you to get that kind of hail in the summer? Not in my part of the country. I'm fancinated by weather and follow it closely, thanks for posting those great pictures!

Wish I'd been there for that kind of storm. I LOVE big storms.

We get that little stuff here in northern NY, maybe once a summer. Yesterday there was a storm passing north of where I was camping that was carrying a warning for quarter-sized hail. (quarter-sized as in the coin!) That would sure put some dents in cars and campers,...I never did hear if it actually happened or if it was just a warning.

I'm glad you folks are ok and had no damage!
