Produce prices

Postby Echo » Tue Jan 26, 2010 11:35 pm

Shopping for groceries is one of my least favorite things to do. That and going to the laundromat. Produce at WalMart in Parker AZ isn't bad, but Chris told us about a grocery store here in Blythe. It's right next door to K-mart and they have super nice looking produce. Green peppers .89 per pound, got 4 really nice sized onions for $1 and other stuff is a decent price too. And boy have they got some stuff in there that I have never seen in anybodies produce section! Raised my eyebrows on a couple things. They did have cactus but I have no idea how to cook it. Guess I will have to go surfing and find a recipe and try it out.

Tried another produce market out today that a neighbor told us about. Nah! Ain't worth the trip. Didn't have much and the stuff costs more than at the 'Ranch Market'.

Nope, would just end up bustin' my butt on the sand. ~sigh~

When way younger I use to ? snow ? surf. Had one of those short 4' plastic orange toboggans and would stand up and surf down the slope. Hmm? I wonder if that's where the idea of snowboards came from? Geeze maybe someone seen me doing that and when older they designed the snowboard? I think I should be getting intellectual royalties from that!!! Thieves, someone stole my idea! Dang :o

Great fine on produce prices. I had sticker shock at store here yesterday. Store claims higher prices due to crop loss in FL and more to transport produce from TX and CA.
Think I'd stay off that board if I were you.

Then you'll just have to come out here to Ca to shop, Sarah!
