Stranded in Baja

I know you all are aware of the storms in California - but for those who haven't gotten any news about Mexico and Baja - we've had those storms also. They hit worse north of us - and there are 3 or 4 major bridges out - meaning no traffic coming down to us - and IF we were ready to leave, we couldn't
Good thing we aren't in any hurry. This is the time of year they get the most traffic down here, though, so it's tough on the businesses.
We're still in quite a bit of rain - have been planning to head further south for a couple days, but Jean needed something ELSE fixed on her stabilizer bars - and that's being done today (hopefully) and we don't like driving in the wind - might come down a few miles to this place where we're online now - they will let us camp here also. Different beach - and we can come in here for internet - maybe even pick it up in the rigs. Hmmmmm.
Some towns here were hit hard - people stranded - no power, etc - but the power is back most places and the stranded people have gotten food, etc - just a matter of time to fix all the bridges. Could be a few or more weeks.

I'm glad you two are well ... and you don't seem too concerned about the bridges. So just hunker down and enjoy!

Wow, glad you two aren't in a hurry to get out of there. I heard on the news tonight we are suppose to be getting hit with another heavy duty storm front in a day or two
Really getting tired of this stuff. Hunker down, be safe and enjoy each others company.

We weren't concerned about being stranded as we had no intentions of going North. So we headed South and are now in Loretto. I have to sort out my photos as we just "did" the town. Beth bought two dresses after swearing she had enough dresses and where would she wear them in Alaska? I bought one, but I have a lot of catching up to do, although I must admit I bought two pair of skinny jeans to match up with my new skinny self. They are the kind where you have to point your toe to get it down the leg. As my dear departed Scottish Father would say...okay, you get the choice of two, "Aye, the sights ye see when ye dinna hae a gun!" Or, Dearrr Gawd, she looks like Mutton drrressed as lamb!"

Lost weight when I was working at Kaibab Lodge. I can't eat at 9000 feet. It happens every year. I usually put it back on when I leave, but not yet. I'm down to 106lb, but I feel good and I bought SKINNY JEANS!
Need to upload the photos....okay...I'll go do it now!
Edit: I guess my connections not good enough to up load photos. I'll try again in the morning.

Also glad to learn the two of you are okay. The bad weather in U.S. lately overshadowed news of weather in Mexico - at least here. I agree with others, if you have to be stranded somewhere, a warm beach with great view is hard to beat.
How is Sparkle doing? Much better, I hope. Maybe Belle could read her a story to cheer her up while she recoops.
