GLORIOUS DAY

Today has been the perfect summer day here in Nashville, IN. The temp only got to about 72, there is a slight breeze, the sky is brilliant blue with puffy white clouds. The only sounds are the cicadas and crows in the woods and the buzz of the hummingbird wings on the deck. I went out on the back deck to check the hummingbird food and just stood there to admire everything. The view is spectacular - just bey0ond the far tree line is Indianapolis.

There were about 15 hummingbirds flitting around. They will come right up and look us in the face now.

The fish were taking the sun in the pond. We have Koi and goldfish out there and lots of babies

Then I looked over the rail and there were two deer munching away.

And my husband is taking a nap - who could ask for more.

You have how many acres? I know we could all fit :) I'm amenable to boondocking for part of the time ....

To answer Beth - we have 5 acres but unfortunately most of it is straight down hill. But there is a big driveway. Come On Up!
And I can believe the hummingbirds would attack someone fooling with their nests. They sure get territorial about the feeders - running other birds off all the time.

our Alfa is off its pad (one 50amp plug empty now) and in the driveway so there is still lots of room. Bill says we have a lot of 30 amp plugs and water hoses - no dump though sorry - don't think I'd like the smell if we dump into the holler. see ya when ya get here.

works for me - the fall is absolutely wonderful here - and winter is mild (anyway last year was) except we might be in Mexico - spring is stunning.
