WOW what a wonderful eye opening experience. Too often my family and I sit here complaining of how there is nothing to do in SoCal...thanks for making me want to open my eyes a little wider and break out of the mundae. Enjoy the festival and the little neat new things of Blythe. :)

A lovely post. Glass half-full/half-empty. Thanks.

Oh, I just remembered, FMCA's Singles International chapter is going to caravan in to Blythe in the next week or so for the bluegrass festival. They'll be arriving Jan. 14 until the 17th or so. Then they'll be going on to Quartzsite. Look for them, and have fun!

It is amazing what we take for granted isn't it. Everyone should be able to spend some time, not vacation time in the Holiday Inn, but real get into it time in other countries. Really makes you appreciated what we have in our country. I especially like being able to put the toilet paper in the toilet not a waste basket when we cross back into home. Don't get me wrong I love spending winters here - the people are so gracious and friendly and so willing to share what little they have. I love seeing things being used here daily that are considered antiques in the US. Thinks for the post.
