Hey ladies, I've missed you all as I haven't even peeked on here for a couple of weeks. Had a great time at Disney and a wonderful Christmas and am now getting ready to head back south to TX. I have posted my tentative route for the way down so if anyone is along the way and would like to meet, I'm up for that.

Leave NW Ohio Monday, Jan 11 to head to Nashville TN for 1 night. Any suggestions for an RV park in that area? The ones I've looked at online so far are not too impressive, but it's only a stopover.
Next to West Memphis to a park called Tom Sawyer, recommended by friends, right on the river and can watch the boats go by.
Next to Hot Springs, AR. Again looking for cg recommendtion, this time several look good so if anyone has personal experience with one, let me know. Probably spend at least 2 nights there then to
Tyler TX to Tyler State Park for one night.
Next, to Waco for the weekend - want to go to the Dr Pepper and Texas Rangers museums and hopefully tour Austin for a day also. Let me know of any not-to-be-missed sights there also.
Finally will head to Port Aransas again on or around the18th and plan to stay there for a full month. Loved the park last year and all the activities and the town/area. Got to see some neat stuff but still plenty left to see. Anyone from SW Texas who can come down, please do. I love to meet as many of my forum sisters as I can. I'll fill you all in on the specifics of the itinerary later but I plan to wander east along the beautiful Gulf.

Kellie, we've been to the TX Ranger's Musem, it's pretty cool seeing all the history. Lots of pistols and rifles as well as stories about famous outlaws, etc. There is a wagon ride around the location but we didn't do that, there is also a boat ride/sightseeing tour if you take the path down to the water. The only warning I can give you is to keep an eye out for the huge wooden plank sign as you go into the first collection room at the museum, just after we walked through the door, it fell, came down on one side and swung. If it would have hit us it would have been like a bowling ball knocking down the pins, LOL. Have fun and stay safe on your trip.

sounds like a good trip but haven't experienced any of those areas to help with campground recommendations.
If you stop at Branson on the way the excapee's campground is really neat
have a safe and enjoyable trip
