Merry Christmas

Just wanted to post a quick and heartfelt Merry Christmas to one and all. For the very first time in my entire life I am spending Christmas Eve alone. My GD is spending Christmas with her mother this year. So, I have a date with the hot tub in just a bit to watch for Santa to make his rounds. I'm going to steam some shrimp for dinner here in just a few minutes and I'm listening to endless Christmas Carols.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

God Bless us Everyone.

Merry Christmas Paulette!!!

The first Christmas alone can be a shocker. But it can be very nice too. No frantic rush tonight to make sure you have gotten everything done and wrapped. My Mother use to run us all ragged on Christmas Eve. Even us kids! She would have everyone in a wrapping frenzy trying to get everyones gifts done. Then it was out the door to all the cousins houses, aunt and uncles houses, the friends houses and then finally back home when we were younger. When my oldest brother moved back to NY from the air base in CA we would all end up at his house on Christmas Eve. At least that's the way it use to happen.  Dad finally put his foot down and said no more craziness and frenzy. He was done with the wrapping marathon. Cause when we would get home from my brothers Mom would have him wrapping again for people/friends/relatives that she planned on visiting after Christmas. Oh good grief. My Mom was a Christmas nut and the biggest kid of all!

But I've spent Christmas alone myself. Once I got over the shock and the first bit of blues at being alone??? I kind of enjoyed it! Maybe I'm weird that way?

Hope it's a wonderfully peaceful relaxing and rejuvenating holiday!

Love ya Lady

Merry Christmas to you too Paulette, and to all my forum friends as well.
I rather enjoy my peacefulness of being alone at Christmas. Gives me time
to reflect on what its really all about. I put the hustle and bustle behind me
many years ago.

Merry Christmas to you. I have only had a couple of Christmas's alone, not really alone, alone as I lived in the Barracks on the base so there were people there, but it is not the same as family and close friends.

Enjoy the evening and relax...I do admit I am a tad jealous about the hot tub.

We are ready here...just finished up our big dinner. We changed it up this year. Several years ago we started going to the movies on Christmas Day. So this year with kids ranging in age from 21 to 10...we actually split up for the movies, we pick the movies and then see what time we can get all the start times close together. So it worked out best to go in the early afternoon, so we opted for the big dinner tonight after church services. We will do a big breakfast, with crepes...I discovered at Thanksgiving...leftover fresh made whole cranberry sauce..makes a wonderful crepe filling.

Merry Christmas to all RV sistahs across the wonderful country of ours.

Paulette! THERE YOU ARE!!!!

Merry Christmas to you, too! And the hot tub sounds like a perfect Christmas Eve treat to me! When I get to FL for this season of the year, I want to make sure there is a hot tub available wherever I might be! If I am to leave the traditional snowy, cold Christmases of my past in the past, I will want the most drastic changes possible----such as warmth, no snow, swimming and hot tubs, palm trees in place of balsams, no need for firewood to get lugged in through the snow daily, and stuff like that!

Hope you had a great Christmas, even without your Granddaughter. I will bet that she missed you!

If someone will help me.....I think we can move the tub over closer to the fire pit area.....huff...huff....that way we can enjoy each others company....and get to the wine supplies back in the lean to......Also, someone near the campfire might be willing to refill a glass without another someone having to get up and out. See what you think..... ;)

As long as there is a life guard left sitting around the fire  so if someone slides under they can reach out and pull them back up
