Goofy question...

OK, I can't find an explanation for this anywhere on here so I am going to ask... what do the little circles mean next to each topic, thread, etc? Some are blue, some are red, some are moving, some have little things attached to them. Inquiring minds want to know... :?

They indicate whether or not there is a new post, etc. If it is red that means that there is a new post you haven't read yet. Blue means that you have read everything in that thread. If there is a star on it that means that you have posted a reply on that post. If it looks like it is scrolling/rolling that just means it is a high post or lots of responses to that thread. Once you have clicked and opened up the thread there are little square boxes at the top of every person's post. The ones you have read are empty, the new ones you haven't read are red. And it's not a goofy question, I know, because I asked too!

See, it just goes to show how truly talented a Dufus can be :) Even if Mitch won't admit it except in secret PMs.... Where is that woman....we miss her. :)

One more? What does the little "i" mean in the smaller circle on the bigger circle?

When you click on "New Topic" to start a new thread you have an option there to choose 10 different symbols just like when you post a reply like this. The default is "None". If I start a thread for somebody's B-Day, I like to put a heart symbol on it, because I'm just so sweet that way.  I'm not positive, but my guess is that the "i" would be for "idea", maybe, although it does look a lot like the italics symbol, too. Hmm, your guess is as good as mine on that one. Anybody else know?

The "I" inside of the circle is for "info". At least that's what Kelly says! :D If she's wrong it wasn't my fault!!!!! ;) 8-)

I vote for INFO like Kelly says
although I've never thought alot about those icons but now that
someone brought them up,
lets see, first of course is none,
then, fire like in HOT TOPIC
star as in "make a note"
hazard symbol...probably a topic could be hazardous I guess,
heart, posted with love of course
that little cloud thingy, I would guess "just thinking"
? of course is a question
Exclamation point of course making a point
the last one would be the dufas one, lol, ok, embarrassed dufas

The third one looks like a chocolate chip cookie! Maybe a sweet message?

ANOTHER GOOFY QUESTION:

What's the difference between an attachment (when the little paperclip appears next to the subject) and inserting an image? Can you attach a photo from your 'puter? Is this new? I always thought we had to have a URL to post a photo. Beth?
