Thought I would post the pics that I actually figured out how to take all by myself!!! This is our snow storm.
This is while we were at Books a Million, we were under the roof overhang for the patio. That's David's blue Blazer.
Parking lot
Trees out back
Neighbors chicken barn
Tah Dah! David's chicken palace! With Mom's cardboard insulation and plastic wrapping
David now has a standing guard protecting his chicken coop. He built himself a snowman out back. Why he didn't build it out front I have no idea. Sure do wish the snow would stay until after Christmas!!!!

I love being in the snow AFTER the storm. It is peaceful and quiet, for a little while anyway before life overtakes the peacefulness. Linda

I love being out in the snow storm!!! Especially out in the sticks. It's so still and quiet that you can hear the snow land. And while it's still pristine with no tracks or plowed up dirt there is nothing more beautiful than Mother Earth being regal, wearing her gown of velvet white.
It's the after math that I dislike. The mess of trying to get around and the bitter cold and wind that usualy comes after.

GREAT snow pics, Echo! And I am happy to see David's chicken coop all trussed up against the cold! What a good mother you are to brave those cluckers and crowers! The neighbors seem to have a HUGE chicken collection!
Happy times in your snow!

Soos I'm not sure but I think David had told me that the neighbor use to raise the roosters to fight? Happily TN outlawed everything to do with cock fighting so now he just raises chickens!! He still has plenty of roosters and the blasted things crow day and night. But at least he doesn't use them for breeding fighters. During nice weather they run all over the place.
Went to visit the friend that Kelly and I use to work with yesterday. Danged if she doesn't have 4 chickens!!! Calls them her "Ladies" and is in love with the things. Gads what is going on? She's a transplanted NYC woman. Her brother brought them home from where he works and gave them to her. She thought it highly amusing when I called them ka ka chickens and told her about David's birds.

We are suppose to get up to two feet of snow here in Minnesota by Friday! A very white Christmas! Bad timing tho for those who are traveling. Luckily, I only have to drive about a mile to my brother's house on Christmas Eve. Then hunker down with some chili, Baileys and chocolate chip cookies for the rest of the weekend watching the snow fall! I will have to take pics! I have to admit it is really beautiful while it is coming down coating everything in a blanket of white, but the mess afterward is what I hate. Everything gets so dirty from the sand and salt all over.
