MY NEW TRAILER SIGN IN PROGRESS

I brought home my birch bark sign, LIBERTAS, this afternoon. Libertas is Latin for FREEDOM! I am going to put oil-base polyurethane on mine, as they are using water based stuff at school, and I don't like it as well. This is a picture of it before I fix the final "S" and then give it a couple of coats of poly. It is designed to be truly rustic, and it is! I could have made it out in the woods with nothing more than a sharp knife and some tiny brads to fasten on the twig letters.

It's -3 here already, and the skies are still light. It's gonna be a frigid one tonight!
