David called and asked if Kelly and I were doing ok? Asked if we needed anything tonight? Told him no that we were doing fine and didn't need anything. He then said that instead of coming home tonight then going back to the hospital to spend the night that he was gonna go straight to the hospital and stay. Told him, Ok and to be sure to give Jenny and Conner hugs and kisses from Kelly and I.

It didn't hit me until about an hour after he hung up! HORRORS!!!! That meant that he wouldn't be home to feed the chickens! OMG! I hate chickens! Nasty, dirty, pecky things! Ewwwwwwwww Chickens simply gross me out to no end! Don't really like birds. At least captive ones! For some reason they totally creep me out. It's not a phobia but I dislike chickens most of all!!!

Well I did it. I braved the coop and fed the nasty crappy things. Ewwwwwwww GADS!! Dam black one attacked my foot. Would have BBQ'd chickie if I could bring myself to touch it and pluck it.

Texted David and asked him if he wanted to know how much I loved him? He texted back and said, "yeah". So I told him that I had fed them, what happened and what was gonna happen to his black chicken. He texted back, thought it HIGHLY amusing and said, "Not yet". Just wait until I get my hands on that boy!!!! GRRRRRR

Nasty, dirty, clucky, pecky chickens. YUCK (don't much like geese either. nasty, hissy, snappy, bitey, pinchy things)

ps. Conner is doing good, they were gonna let him go home today but then decided to keep him one more night. ~sigh~ he should be home tomorrow tho!! :D

You're a good sport. I know about "attack chickens."  I learned the hard way not to wear shorts when I fed the chickens. I had a big leghorn rooster, and that #!$%&!!! rooster  jumped on my leg and spurred the snot out of me. So yes, you are a VERY loving mother. And you're gonna make that boy PAY!!!!

Reminds me of the time I took care of my neighbors chickens and the chickens would peck at me if I tried to steal a egg! One Hen got loose and I found her in some tall grass and she was sitting on a whole dozen eggs! JACK POT!!! The chickens weren't as bad as the Billy Goat that kept trying to head butt me! Smacked him with the shovel and he never head butted me again!!

David is home tonight. Says Jenny kicked him out of the hospital when he complained he couldn't sleep another night in the chair. Made him feed his own dang nasty, ka ka chickens tonight. He's been ragging my butt ever since he got home about those blasted *&%^$($#@ chickens!!! I will make him pay. I just couldn't do it tonight tho, he came home and worked on my Blazer. It's running again. :D

Actually he worked on his and mine both. What are the odds??? I have a '96 Blazer and he has an '85. Mine wouldn't start Monday and his died Tuesday while I was driving it. Well tonight we put the charger on mine and I drove to Auto Zone and bought a new battery. His had melted the inline fuse for the solenoid and then after he changed it, it still wouldn't crank over. Turned out the side post/connection for the neg terminal on the battery he was using is no good. So he had to put a different battery in his Blazer. Weird!!! He is driving my Blazer to work tomorrow and is gonna do an oil change. He works at a Honda dealer. I will be driving his Blazer tomorrow to do some running around. So in all I had to cut him some slack tonight. ;)

I'll tell ya tho! There's no way someone could pay me enough to ever become a chicken farmer!!!! Only good chicken or goose is cooked, bbq'd, fried or baked!!! Or still in the shell!

A brave, loving mother to take care of those darn chickens, for sure. I always hated the task of feeding the chickens and turkeys at one of my grandmother's farm in eastern TN.
Hope Conner is home soon.
