Posted: Wed Dec 16, 2009 11:12 amPurple and green are lilac bush colors, and I once decorated a kitchen with green walls covered with purple handprints! I was painting my kitchen green with purple trim at about 3 in the morning, and accidentally leaned against the wall with my painty purple hand. It looked so good I just rolled my hand and did the entire kitchen! For a trim border, up near the ceiling, I used purple fingerprints! And my inspiration was the lilac bush outside my kitchen window.

How is sit done? Parts of it look like crocheted squares, and parts of it look like fabric squares and stars?
I'll bet it made a ton of money for the raffle! BEAUTIFUL!

Soos, it's all fabric. It's an Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day pattern. All the stars are made as part of the log cabin blocks - very easy. I took longer than a day, but it was a lot of fun making it. I used the same pattern last year for a king size quilt for the San Diegto Astronomy Club auction - in blues, red, and gold. I think I posted a picture of that one as well.
