Belle said it was a disgrace that she wasn't seeing much lately, so we took her to lunch. She complained all the way about the sticky residue from her Halloween costume. Guess who gets to clean that up?


The restaurant was opened in 1936. We ate on the Patio behind all those flowers.




Ooh, the dip was too hot for me, but I nibbled on the chips, along with a buddy of mine who flew in.




When the food came I waded right in, see me on the plate? Then Beth put on the timer and FLUNG herself down just in time.




There were three different rooms to eat in. Beth didn't even have a Margerita, so I don't know why they are blurry!

you both look very relaxed and enjoying lunch, and I see Belle is trying hard to
get a handout.

That food looks yummy, did you eat it all or get a Belle Bag?

Belle sure looks like she's having a great time!

And, oh the things I can do with a couple of those pictures further down...thank you for the fodder, ladies.

BTW - how was the food?

We had the lunch special, mini chimis and they were okay. But they had a big menu with 6 different kinds of soup, so when we go back, and we will, at some future point, we will try the regular menu. This is one city I will definately, GWATCDR, be back to. Okay, who knows what I just said?

Yes, ma'am, Chris - we'll be on the road tomorrow - not rushing our way- but imagine we'll be there in a couple days.

Oh, service at the restaurant was great, also. Yep, would go back, probably weekly, if living here.

And we just checked out a really nice place...not sure what you call them. They have lots of pre=fab homes, but also allow RV's. It was 418.00 a month, plus electric. But there was a library, pools, jacuzzi's, all kinds of activities. Beautifully landscaped, big lots, cactus, trees, flowers. No kids. We were impressed. Of all the places I've been in the last 4 years, Tucson has been the best as a place to settle down in the future...you know..when I'm OLD!

Sparkle, you might want to wait until you experience Baja before deciding on an "old people" spot.

I'm heading to Borrego Springs for Thanksgiving, probably Tuesday through early Friday, but will be back here in Blythe sometime Friday. Please give me a call or email as I'd love to check out the Slabs, etc.

That looks like a great place for lunch. Glad Sparkle and Beth are getting you out on the town once in a while, Belle!
