Old Tucson

You will probably be wishing by now that we would move on...soon, soon. So I wake up on Thursday morning and lo and behold my depression has lifted. That is until Beth DRAGGED me to Old Tucson. Let me count...she made me go to Smokey the Bear, gravesite and all. Didn't like it. I made her go to Arcosanti. She didn't like it. Then her turn again..Old Tucson. Need I say how I felt about it? For those who don't know, and I certainly didn't care, Old Tucson is a film set. The buildings were okay, but the re-enactments? Gag me with a spoon!

This was the Saloon and Dance Hall.

The dancers and interior.

The shootout. Honestly, I couldn't stay. I left Beth sitting on a haybale, her eyes wide with excitement.

The she had to go on the train. She had reverted to age 6 by this time.

Beth hanging the wash. I'm so glad ONE of us was having a good time.

The interior of one of the cabins. They still make movies here. We had come the day before and they were filming. If you are a fan of Westerns you would have recognised many of the buildings.

Me having pizza. Incidentaly, one of the best veggie pizzas I'd ever had. Sorry about this post Beth. This was the best part of the whole day!

Don't know what happened to my post, maybe Mitch and I posted at the same time. Anyway, I'm with Beth and the others, looks like a fun place.

Speaking of "bitchy pills", my mother use to refer to anyone not enjoying themselves when everyone else was, as a pill. So Sparkle, stop being a pill. :D ;)

BTW, thanks for sharing your pictures. Linda

And she liked it better than she admits to - so we will let her make it sound like she was in agony all day. Notice, I say we will let her - and as she said - for being Sparkle, I'll just have to pay her back - give me time :) It won't be hard.

That said - I was the dummy yesterday. We got to Old Tucson and I went to take a picture, and discovered my memory card wasn't in my camera. Obviously it was still in the computer from upping the previous days pics. We shared Sparkle's camera.

I have more pics of Old Tucson, with much of the history on my blog. So, for all of you who would enjoy it like me (except I admit, the shows were corny - but hey, isn't that what we expect?) - head over and check out my blog post on Old Tucson.

I hate to admit how many times I've done that.

Beth, Beth, Beth. I keep an extra (surprise) memory card in my camera case. And extra batteries. Let's see, maybe I should think about an extra camera.

Karen, my problem was - I DO have an extra camera - so guess where my extra memory card went? Into that camera - which wasn't with. Don't have this problem when I'm traveling alone - as everything comes with me everywhere. Now, I need another extra memory card to keep in this camera case.
