Well, it could have been a rough day considering I got lost on the way to the marina and almost missed the boat! The rest of the day was just about perfect.


All aboard with my power squadron friends 3 boats left the Venetian Cove Marina in Leesburg, FL to cruise across Lake Harris to Mission Inn Resort for lunch. Come along?


Days like today remind me why Florida is a great place to be in the wintertime.

Once everyone is tied up at the dock, the dock-master radios for a bus to pick us up & take us to the restaurant. We wait here for just a few minutes.

Yummy buffet lunch…salmon with dill sauce was excellent.


After lunch we strolled the grounds… Courtyard

And just enough wind to bring out the sailors.


These geese know how to pick their wintering spot…don’t you think?

A picture perfect day, eh? Beautiful, but I'm a little concerned about Mitch - we know what she comes up with when she starts surfing and studying subjects. I have a feeling we'll be in for something. What? I have no clue. At least I do know it will be interesting. Just as your day was

Awesome pics Liz. Lord a-mighty TN is having some beautiful weather but sure makes me wish I was in Florida. And that looked like a YUMMY buffet too.
