Just as I was feeling lonely cause Janat and Diane had left I get a call from Birdie that she's just a few miles down the road and heading in. Yipee. WOW, she has a new to her rig. I'll let her tell you and show pictures but I was IMPRESSED. Raining here today so not sure what we're going to do.

I miss Birdie. Everytime we see a bird we can't identify (99%) I wish she was by my side asking me what color its legs are, what color are its eyes.

Dang, Biridie - was hoping you were still in AZ - was going to come find you if you were. Ah well, at least you're visiting Karen. Glad to know you're having so many visitors Karen - you love it. And, yes, I need help with birds - I'm always asking Sparkle who wants to buy me books - and I can't find most of them using the books. But I love them. Just took a pic of a beautiful green hummingbird in a tree next to the casino where parked.

SO sorry I missed Birdie!

I had SO much fun w/ Karen and Diane riding around thru the back country seeing the magnificent fall colors... yes girls, Texas does have a bit o' the color in the fall. Just gotta wait til almost thanksgiving to see it , and get out and about. Just when i was about to get DOWN in texas,, Karen renewed my respect,, a little bit!

Course it's not near as beautiful as the mtns of the rest of our glorious country! ( i know I don't sound like a native Texan, sorry! Just cuz I was born here doesn't mean i HAVE to like it, do I? )

OK I'll post a peek at Birdie's new rig - its all she'd let me post. She's on her way to Livingston for some driving classes and doesn't have good Wifi right now.



I've decided to start a new career - I've learned I'm REALLY good at telling other's what they need to buy for their rig. Its so much easier spending other people's money. Now that Birdie is broke and has EVERYTHING for her rig (well, almost) who want's to be next? My last trip to a Camping World I couldn't find even one thing to buy. Who says I don't have enough gadgets?

Hey Karen, did you get Birdie to buy two of everything? Somehow I lost my carbiner ring to hook up the breakaway, and I told everybody, now if I'd been Karen I would have had a spare!

Hey Sparkle, some of the things Karen had me buy 3 or 4 and some 6 or 8....but they are all in use...those little Dollar Tree storage bins.

The pics are out at the 'show off your rig' area. Spent last night at Stephen F. Austin State Park and got in a little good birding. Arrived here in the Piney Woods of East Texas about 2:30 and haven't had time to do any birding yet. Heard some little guys, so maybe in the morning I'll explore and see what's here. Have a sessions starting tomorrow after lunch and continues until Sunday about noon. Starts Sat and Sun at 7:00 so I don't think I'll get any early birding done and it doesn't end until after dinner that starts at 7:00 - so again no birding after that....Maybe I can hear some Great Horned Owls call at night. Sunday afternoon is a must as I'll be needing a bird fix by then. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I know I'll enjoy the new rig. Anybody know of anyone that wants to buy a 2008 Casita Spirit Deluxe (means it has a toilet and shower) 17' TT and or a 2007 Toyota 4Runner??????
