We decided to take a ride up in the park the other day. The colors were not at their peak but at least it wasn't raining.
This is a picture of the horse farm right down the hill from us.
Image
Had to go by the burned down Little Nashville Opry to get to the park. What a shame. Really hurting the little town as it drew about 2000 people a weekend here for the shows.
Image
Then to the park.
Image
Just some of the trees with the sunlight on them.
Image
Stopped here at a nice playground but it was empty. This area has lots of tulip trees.
Image
On down to Ogle Lake – couldn’t resist taking pictures there. Some of these trees are Yellowwoods.

He was just sitting there enjoying nature
Image
Just driving down the road. Liked the colors and the shadows.
Image
A couple of the really colorful trees around.

Looking down over the park.
Image
Leaving the park through the double covered bridge.
Image
Some of the tourists and the little trolley down town Nashville.
Image
The road up to the house
Image
The little town was bursting with people walking around. For the next few days we won't even be able to drive through town.
Just thought I'd share some of the park scenery. Very peaceful in there.

BEAUTIFUL fall pics, Carol! It's like having fall all over again. I especially love the shot where the colorful trees are leaving shadows in the road!

Thanks so much for the colorful delight!

Nashville is just about the prettiest place I know of this time of year! Thanks loads for the beautiful pics! ! !

I have cousins there,,,he is a retired preacher. I was there the last of Nov in '91 and it was nice that time of year too! And it was decorated for Christmas. Ya'll ALL oughta put Tennessee on your bucket list of not miss in Oct. Nov. I love the Civil war battlefields and old historic homes, and plantations! ! ! Did you see the Hermitage? It was an awesome tour! ! ! !

See that exit covered bridge. Did you know you should not drive a motorhome through it? Did you know that the rangers there get very upset about that? Did you know that board hanging down can do a lot of damage to stuff on the roof?

Now how do you suppose that I know all these things?

That is a beautiful state park.

Thank you for Fall. We don't get much in the way of color here in my part of Texas.

Beautiful pictures...I remember that covered bridge. I too like the shadows on the road and the reflections in the water. Thanks.
