Magical Evening

I surprised Tommy with this banner yesterday then we went to where he wanted to go (which is exactly where his party was to be).
Image

My girlfriends had everything laid out when we got there and what a ton of food there was!
Image

After dinner, they set Tommy in this rocker and gave him a cane and a bib.
Image

They showered him with gifts. Some were real silly, (depends, denture paste, viagra, etc.) and some very wonderful,(gift cards, harley shirt etc.)
Image

At nine pm the limo driver arrived and walked up to him and said, "If you are Mr. Mills, would you please follow me"? He was totally surprised! Here we are yucking it up inside with our friends snapping pictures. They insisted just the two of us take off on a romance ride.

One of our stops was at the Horseshoe casino. This picture was in front of the fountain there

Later, swigging champagne in the V.I.P. lounge
Image

We made a few more stops at romantic spots around town and thoroughly enjoyed the sights and lights. He said he had one of the most magical evenings he can remember! I personally think retirement certainly agrees with him :D

What a wonderful evening - for everyone - and how great that you were able to make it not just a retirement party, but to end it as a special romantic evening for the two of you. I love it.

Thanks so much, Ladies! It was such a special night for him (us), and hopefully the start of some real fun times ahead. He is anxious to hit the road.

I can't wait till you all get to meet him. He is kinda shy at first, but humorous, polite, forgiving, and the hardest working man I've ever met. That being said, we will be travelling for weeks at a time in 26' of space with 2 dogs. You are guaranteed to be hit in the butt with the bathroom doorknob if someone opens it while you are at the sink. He loves the speed channel and I the soaps, so we'll see how that goes :? He gets up early, I sleep in late. We'll be breathing the same friggin air for days on end! I can't wait to share the "rest of the story" with ya'll

We've met Tommy and he's indeed a keeper! He is so nice and he and Dan got along great. I still get the giggles of the two of them helping Betty put up Christmas decorations. I can't wait to get together again...get your tails to Yuma this winter ! Party time!! 8-)

You've got a deal, but the way you folks entertain and invite us all, it seems we'll need to make a reservation. :D Tommy asks about you all the time. He sure enjoyed himself at Betty's! It will be fun when he meets Lori's Ernie too.

What a fantastic retirement party. And I love the romantic ending with a limo. Now that you're retired it looks like your only future limo is your rig   use it wisely. I love that my DH and I have different sleep patterns. Gives us alone time. You two sure looked happy in those pics. carold

I'll bet Jill & Tommy upgrade to a bigger RV by next year because they are having so much fun!

Yeah Jill we were a regular campground in Feb! Someone would leave in the morning and a different RV there that afternoon! We really gave the neighbors a chuckle!!
