Beth and I have been waiting with our everythings crossed to hear about our next summer jobs. Remember that fabulous tour she took in Prince William Sound in Alaska? Well we will both be working on the boat for the summer. We are so excited. This is what Workamping is all about - doing things you've never done before in exciting locations.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I'm so happy for you both, what great news.

WOW!What a fabulous job location! What type of jobs will you both be doing?

As I understand it, we go out at about 1.00pm and return late evening, depending on what there is to see out there. If the guests are having a good time photographing whales for instance, we stay out. I assume we will be on the boat earlier than cleaning and getting things ready. Then we make snacks and serve non alcolholic drinks, meanwhile shoving the passengers out of the way so we get a good view. Its not a big boat and it can go places the larger tour boats can't get into. One of us will go out to the prow and look for puffins on the glacier. Then we do a Playhouse 90 waving for Captain Fred to get closer so we get a good view. Oh dear, such hard work! Oh, and then we will be trained to pilot the boat back into harbor in case anything happens to the Captain. This old dog is ready to learn some new tricks!
P.s. Beth is here with me at Subway's so we have good Internet. She has so much to do on the business end she asked me to post for both of us.

wow, thats great news, so when do you report? and what are you going to do for
winter? Back to Port A?

Sounds fun, do you two get to flip a coin who has to clean up the bathroom after someone gets sea sick? lol

Congrats to both of you!! Don't forget to dress warmly. It's chilly out on those decks when the boat is under way.Will you be staying in Whittier, Valdez or where?

Since Mitch is somewhere in the woods of GA, I'll try and fill in a little bit of her goofy antics.

It might be Sparkle cleaning up after herself....my understanding is she gets seasick! She may be Beth's bestest buddy, but that may be where she's on her own and the buddy thing goes overboard!

I'm happy for you gals but sad too because I thought I might get to meet you at the Canyon next year. Oh, well. One word for you Sparkle, Dramamine.

OMG - HOW EXCITING. I'm so happy for you guys. We expect lots of pictures. When do you start?
