Back from Alaska!!

Hey guys,
Well we got home late Sunday night and what a trip we had!! I just thought I had seen some beautiful country-- Alaska tops it all off. I have never seen such rugged yet absolutely beautiful scenery in my life. We are , without a shadow of a doubt, going back someday.
If anyone has questions about a cruise line to take, may I recommend Princess Cruises. I was disappointed to have to put my own napkin in my lap and pour my own coffee when I got home.
I am going through my pictures now and hope to post some soon. As some of you know I am a birdwatcher and the sheer number of eagles we saw has just held me in awe. I have pictures of eagles, humpback whales, glaciers, waterfalls, steep drop offs, floating glacier ice, seals, etc.
The Golden Princess is our third cruise, but by far the largest ship we have been on. She drew 28 feet of water, stood 210 tall from the water line, was 187 feet wide, and over 950 feet long. It amazes me how easy the captain made docking her look. He spun her around in Tracey Ford and headed back the way we came. Geeze those walls looked close to the bow and the stern.
Now, if you can believe it, we had SUNSHINE every day of the cruise!! No RAIN at all. This is almost unheard of on the Inside Passage Cruise. One night and day we had 5 meter seas which was Interesting Rocking and rolling, rocking and rolling. Temp got down to 42 next to the glacier. That was a nippy day
Well will close and be checking those pictures so I can post some of them soon.
