Thought I would post these pics of us having fun in the RZR. Sharon, your mentioned your friend with MS wanted an ATV, but hubby wasn't sure if she would be safe. She might want to consider one like this. The Rzr is narrow (unlike the Rhino or Gator made by other co.) and therefore legal on ATV trails. We had hand controls installed for gas and brake, just like in his truck and of course the U shaped apparatus that he uses on steering wheel (fingers can't grip). Also it allows me to move him to the passengers seat if he gets tired. I installed the 4point harness system to keep him more stable. These pics are from various outings over the past few years and just show some fun times but we're not always in the mud, it's fun for just trail riding too!

now you say that's fun,... to me it looks like WORK! (guess I'm showing my age on this one! )

well everybody's having fun, and then it looks like you drive it into the
lake to rinse off all the mud??

Those pics show why we can NEVER go alone! There's always somebody or multiple somebodies around to help out when you go in groups.

Soos, most people don't have the push to get out and do things if they are disabled, or they don't have anyone pushing them to go do it, it's hard for parents/loved ones to let go and see someone they have taken care of for so long, become daring and independent again. I know some just aren't able, period, then there's Hommie that thinks, "okay, what could happen, I could break my neck,,,,, again?" Humor gets ya through a lot of impossible situations!

Vicki, those are fabulous pictures. I can see why your hubby loves the RZR and you want to modify the TH. I think Soos has a good idea about joining a group with others in similar situations. I have read about groups forming now (on a kayak and canoe forum) for returning soldiers that have suffered amputations. Getting these fine men and women out and doing sports despite their injuries is a great idea and applies to anyone with a disability that is independent enough to do so.

How long does it take to pull a vehicle out of that much mud? Isn't mud good for the complexion? Keep on enjoying yourselves. Linda

How much fun and what a great attitude you both have-him for going for it and you for pushing it instead of being scared that something might happen. It's definitely about how you live your life, not how long you live it. Hmmm, looks like you might be getting a full mud bath-people pay a fortune to have that done at a spa carold

Hey Vickie, been out of touch for a few days and just saw this post....what fun! I went for a ride in a RZR-S out at the sand dunes last year and have already made up my mind to get one! Just have to figure out how to get it in my trailer as the door is about 4 inches to short. But the BF assures me that with the long travel shocks, he can get it in. Soooo, I've been on line pricing them in my area. I'd like to get it before the Thanksgiving trip. The quad is fun, but it's beating me to death and I feel like I've been run over by a steamroller after a week on it! Yes, my friend knows about them, but don't know if she'll ever actually get one. Love the pictures! I've taken my quad out in the dirt a few times, but I prefer the sand. Looks like you and DH are going to have to come out here and I'll show you what those things are really made for!
