For those of you who know me and wonder why I am like I am, I just wanted to let ya'll know, I get it honest. My older brother's wife posted this today on our family blog. Bill is hard to get anything on usually so this was really funny to us. My whole family is like this!!

It has been awhile since I last blogged, so thought I'd do one today since I have a humorous story to tell on my better half. I don't get something on him very often, you know.

We went to Shelbyville today to take the de-humidifier over to BLV because it is soooo humid and when the weather is like this, the air conditioner sweats and drips onto the floor. Anyway, my better half was driving, as usual, and when he pulled around to the back of the building, we were right smack dab in the middle of a huge mud puddle and the car came to a complete stop. Oh great, I thought. Gonna have to wade the water to get out of this car. He kept trying to get the thing to move so he could get out of the mud, but it would NOT budge. He tried in forward and reverse, but no luck. He was thinking....well, guess the transmission went out. But, then, he realized he was pushing the brake instead of the gas pedal ! LOL !! We laughed and laughed !!

I know this has probably happened to lots of people lots of times, but for it to happen to Bill, well, it's just really unusual to get him on ANYthing !!

The only other thing we ever really got on Bill was when was still working driving a van of workers to and from work. One snowy evening they got stuck in a snowdrift about a mile north of town. The guys hauled out of the van and were trying to push him out backwards. He had the van in forward!!! Glad it didn't move. They never let him live that down!!!

My life resembles that a lot!

I should have explained that BLV (Billy Lee's Video) is a video store they own. My clown character, Matilda Sue, got her start when they hired their first guy employee and they though Matilda Sue should visit him on his first night----and 2nd etc. After about 4 visits, he was so relieved to learn Matilda Sue was not a REAL customer. He thought it was hillarious though. First night I went in and rented "Green Fried Tomaters" and he had to go find it for me. Of course Matilada Sue was not in full make-up back in those days---just tacky clothes like mis-matched socks and flowers and plaids together!!

Teasing is a good thing, bet he won't live this down for a long long time.

Oh Fernie... I like the story on your brother... but I LOVE the Matilda Sue story!! What fun that must have been.

Bill is really hearing it from one his son-in-laws. It is payback time for Rick. A few weeks ago Rick had to go to Canada on a business trip. Crossing the border coming back into the US, his name came up as wanted. They handcuffed him and led him to a holding room untill they determined he was not the one they were looking for. Bill has worn Rick out about that. Now when I tell you what Rick does for a living you may not feel so sorry for him. He works for a company who makes the machines that inserts all those little cards in magazines that we all absolutely hate!!!! He travels installing and fixing those machines. Don't you just hate him already!!! LOL We gave him a bunch of those cards we had saved for Christmas last year because we know how much he has to like them!!!!

Let me tell you about Fernie!!!!! We met up in Kentucky, we took her motorhome down to see the original home of Kentucky Fried chicken in Corbin Ky. Of course we stopped and shopped and I bought a couple of things, got in the motorhome set the bag down and forgot it when I got out and Fernie went on her way.

Fernie being so sweet sent me a Christmas gift, it was the items I had bought and left in her motorhome!!! Now girls isn't she sweet? LOL
