First, let me thank all those who left best wishes at Zeee's coffee this morning....You all are the best....

Okay, so arrived at the VA Hospital at 8am and got in pre-op around 8:30....even though my cyst was on my right cheek bone area, and in the past, I've had them removed while in the Dr.'s office, this Dr. decided he wanted to do this one in the surgery suite...so, off go my clothes and on goes the hospital gown, then get into surgery they hook me up to the monitors and get right to work numbing my face,etc.... Everyone was really nice and took good care of me.....in about 45 minutes, the cyst was out....(it was about the size of a marble) 6 stitches under the skin, and a very neat steri-strip bandage over the insicion.....got dressed, got my instructions, and out the door by 10am....they work fast.... The Dr. said that if I needed or wanted to stop on the way home for groceries, etc...(got me some coffee and lunch) do it now, cause in about 4 hours I'll be feeling this....well he was right.... Oh, the bugger was sore, big time....but it was pretty deep...so guess that's why.... Anyways, I'm being a good patient (the wimp that I am.... ) and am taking tylonal for the pain....took a nap this afternoon, and it's doing pretty good right now....I always get myself so worked up about these things....but all's well that ends well...

Lori, I'm so glad you're doing good after your surgery. I'm sure you were nervous this morning, but see, things turned out okay,, except the pain you're feeling now. Hopefully the Tylenol is working, they didn't give you anything stronger? Anyway, I'm sure you're being well taken care of,, can't or don't want to imagine Ernie dressed up in a cute little nurses uniform, so you better get well fast!

Glad all went well for you. It's now a good reason to just sit and sip and read for a day or two. Hope it doesn't bruise too much or people will be looking at Ernie funny.

Face it, if Ernie hangs around this group long enough...people gonna look at him funny anyway.... I bet he is good at distancing himself from the wild gtg's of the crazy ladies.... Any hoo, glad the ordeal is in the past and hope the recovery is swift and complete!

Ernie disappearing at our GTGs.... Well, that depends...The first day, he usually hangs out after getting us set up outside..(I do the inside stuff.) to see if anyone needs some help with stuff...Zeee, Beth, Liz, and Paulette will tell ya' that....then he goes on one of his famous walks to check out the place and tell us what's going on there.....and he'll crack a few off color jokes and will cook,if we ask him....but won't stay long when the sisters are gabbing over coffee or adult beverages, although he'll play bartender Really, he enjoys meeting everyone and has a good time.....It's nice when another guy is among us, as then he has someone to "pal around" with.....

Update on my "boo, boo"....feeling better today....yesterday was a waste as I spent it taking pain meds. and resting....really alot better, no pills so far today... Thanks so much again for all your well wishes...

He could always come out with a "Will work for food" ..."Will work for beer" sign. Might as well make a little profit
