John Powers was SO FUNNY!!

At our rally yesterday they hired a guy named John Powers, a motivational speaker. He
was hilarious! He also is an author of several books, which I am not a book reader but
would probably read one of his, one in mind is called "The Junk Drawer". He also has
written a play that is still running in various locations. If you ever have to attend a
seminar or anything of the like and they say the speaker is John Powers, you will not
be bored, I promise.
His bio is listed here....

The rest of the rally was as usual, boring and the seats hurt to sit on them for so long.
It was held in the gymnasium of the highschool and was NOT big enough to hold all
2900 employees. They had said lunch was going to be a sit down thing, well, turns out
the sit down was in the lunch room and we were served pizza, salad and cookies and
a bottle of water. It was good and it filled the empty space in my tummy but everyone
was expecting a real sitdown affair like a banquet. Oh well, money is tight but they
did spend $5000 on a great motivational speaker!
Some teachers signed in as expected as soon as they got there and called a family
member to come and pick them up. I would say they missed out.
