Thank you for checking Mitch. (For the beginning of this saga, see Ramblings of a wreck posted jul 13)

The results were probably as GOOD as they could possibly be. No sign that the cancer has developed yet. There is no treatment until it does. Have to redo tests in 6 months and in meantime have my doctor run some blood tests in 3 months. Doctor said insurance would not cover the Cancer Center redoing tests in less than 6 months unless the markers change more dramatically. However my doctor can do some of the blood work again in 3 months under a different code for insurance coverage. If worse at that time, will go back to the oncologist. Absolutely crazy. Feel a bit like a lab rat. But I'm thankful for the current results and feel better already just knowing cancer is not there yet. I will have to continue this 6 month testing routine the rest of my life. A bit unsettling but I can certainly learn to live with that a lot easier than a cancer.

Also have lost 7 pounds. That would be cause for another celebration were it not for a history of gaining and loosing the same 5 pounds so many times I could likely make another person. Would like to credit this drop to extra effort to walk a bit more while playing game with silly pedometer to get numbers up a bit each week. I will also gladly accept any weight loss no matter how. I'm one of those people who do not loose weight easily.

This is indeed a reason to celebrate. Just keep that testing going and make sure you stay clear. I am so happy to hear some good news.

I'm so glad it wasn't your worst fear, but something to watch and wait with a close eye on, instead. I know that you were worried and may be able to take a breath of relief. Now, could this possibly be a wake up call for you or someone in your family, a friend, one of us? Yep, I'm one of those people who never goes to the Dr. Now, get out there and enjoy your life!

Wonderful news! Glad to hear it. Now, if you just gain and lose the same 5 pounds you never really get overweight. I gain 10, lose 5, gain 10, lose 5. Ahahaha. Good for you - keep up with the good news and the weight loss.

WONDERFUL news, Sarah!

Now your good news and the sunshine here have made my day! I know several people with about the same situation as you have, and the repeated blood tests are bothersome and stressful, but at least you know you need to do them and can then act on doing whatever you must if the readings change. WHEW! I was holding my breath for you until I read this message just now!

Celebrate today and do something fun for yourself! Wish I were there to celebrate with you!

Oh Sarah, so glad your tests came out good. The testing every six months is a pain but I'm used to it. I have diabetes so need testing at least every six months - used to be every three.

So glad to hear the news was good and will hope that the other tests will continue to be ok.
Have patience with the weight loss and think positive thoughts!
