Could You Ladies Send Up a Little Prayer

My friend's daughter was 5 mons. pregnant and not feeling right. She went to the Dr and the baby was in distress. Long story short, they did an emergency C-section. Little Leo lived from Tuesday afternoon to yesterday morning. The family is grieving hard over him and asked for my prayers so I thought I'd ask you kind ladies to add yours, too.
Thanks and God Bless.
Lenora

I am sending strength and comfort their way. Losing a child is not something you ever get over. You will always be a member of that unlucky group of mothers who have lost a child or a baby.....forever and ever. But it does get somewhat more tolerable, less painful, as the years go by, and, if you are lucky enough to have other children-----not to ever take the place of the lost baby, of course---but to nurture and to spend your time loving, memories of loss grow weaker as your love for the living gets stronger. I know because I lost a two month old little girl to crib death. And I thought I, too, was going to die.

And the moment is as real as if it happened this morning.

They will need lots of company and must be allowed to grieve and cry and do all the things the women of third world countries do when they lose a child. I envy the grieving process of those women, as the entire village usually accompanies them in their crying and wailing and wringing of hands, and whatall it takes to get the pain to come out. Love and comfort to them all.

.

Lenora, I'm really sorry for the loss your friend and her family have experienced.
I know you'll be a kind, patient, and understanding friend to them.
And I'll guess God's taking good care of Leo now.

More prayers on the way. I too lost a baby after just a few days on this earth. Sooos is correct, the loss never goes away, just gets a bit easier to live with as time passes.

Gosh, it blesses my heart to see so many of you praying in earnest, and I know there are others that don't post, but are adding their prayers and thoughts, too. Thank you all.
The memorial service is on Saturday.
This was attached to the email and I found it very interesting.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:

The soft, gentle heirloom photographs of these beautiful babies are an important part of the healing process. They allow families to honor and cherish their babies, and share the spirits of their lives.
