PICTURES OF A BEAUTIFUL DAY AT LAST!!

Today was beautiful, and Molly and I went for a walk with my camera! I skipped mowing the lawn and opted for taking the canoe onto the pond to remove brush debris clogging the overflow pipe, not put deliberately by the beavers, but beaver junk, just the same. They say that beavers aren’t programmed to stop up running water in a drain-type thing---just in dam-like things! Luckily for me, the wind calmed down just while I was out there, and enabled me to carefully put the canoe in, remove the brush, paddle (with no twisting---not easy) back to shore and haul the canoe back out. SUCCESS!
Today is the first day I have noticed a bit of improvement as far as lessening of rib pain! YIPPEEEE! Should I dance around a campfire to celebrate? NOT!
And here are the pics I took on my walk:
Wild rose.
Another sweet-smelling wild rose.
What are the chances of a fern growing up through one of my road cones????
Spirea.
More spirea.
Sheep Laurel----relative of Mountain Laurel.
Pretty toadstool, lichens, and moss.
Pearly Everlasting.
Nightshade---don’t know if it’s DEADLY nightshade, or not!
New balsam cone with sticky, sweet-smelling sap.
My trail toward pond.
My trail toward home.
Honeysuckle by split rail fence at pond.
View of pretty sky on walk today.
Fly Aminita, or Destroying Angel----Deadly.
Flat toadstool with snack bites taken out of it by some critter!
Fishing pole prop stick with daisies and larch by pond.
Enough pictures, Ma!
Save the baby turtles!! Watch where you drive.
Our saw mill. Diesel engine covered with blue tarp.
The business end of things.
Sawdust pit with dust carrying chain.
Slab pile---great campfire wood!
