Oregon Coast

We are slowing moving up the Oregon coast (see blog). For at least the next 3 nights we are outside of Coos Bay in Charleston staying at the Oceanside RV Park, which we stayed in a few years ago. Weather has been fairly nice. Walking a lot on the beach and taking drives along the various rivers. We JUST missed Mr. and Mrs. Bush who were taking a rafting trip on the Rogue River while we were there. Slowly (by our standards) moving toward WA. Anyone around??? I'm looking for a Mo's Trudy and Jenny. carold

You should contact Karen (oregonluvr) and/or Laura (cougarfan) both who are in that area. Not sure if they'll see this post before then - so pm would be good. Not sure who else might be in the area.

I wish I were in the area !!! I loved the Oregon coast, hope you do too :D
If you get to Florence, stop in at the Pacific Pines RV Park and tell my friend Paulie HI !!! She's the manager there. She can tell you about lots of great places to go and there's a Mo's in town.
North of there is Bob Creek Wayside (I called it Bob Beach) it's a fun stop, neat beach area, tidepools and my favorite. North of that is a neat place and I can't remember the name !! It has wonder scenery - I'd think if you check my blog it'll be there if you go back a few months. Oh - it's Cape Perpetua, very cool stop.
enjoy your time on the coast :D Tell the ocean HI for me !!

Greetings! I'm in Salem, but its only a short drive for me to get to the Lincoln City area so PM me when you get there. I work M-F but could run over on Saturday or Sunday to say HI! Oregonluvr is on the N. Calif coast now so you probably missed her.

Always fun to meet other members so give a shout out and hopefully we can meet for lunch or something!

Laura

P.S. I know where the Mo's restaurants are....hee hee

I use to live in Charleston and Brookings.

How far up into WA are you going to go. If all goes well with the truck today and it is fixed and back. We will be heading home from Idaho on Wed.

I live way up in Bellingham.

Now you're talking my part of the country. I have been thinking about a trip around the Olympic Peninsula. Let me know when/if you get here.

You ought to PM Jenny as well think that is somewhat the area she is in....
Also you mentioned Idaho that is where we are at right now...a area called Island Park roughly 32 miles south of West Yellowstone MT (the west entrance to Yellowston is a 1/4 of a mile east of town) If you are going to be in that area let me know would so love to meet up with you We are camp hosting this summer. Beautiful area you're in...I especially remember the Rogue River....didn't raft it, but have some beautiful pictures. I'd like to go back to Olympic NP...it was nasty weather when Carol and I did that loop in 2007, but I loved it.
