Thought I'd hurt myself ...

I must be the clumsiest person on earth ... yesterday morning after I let the pups out, I was backing up the stairs coming back into the rig (being the alpha b****h again!) and I fell. Don't know quite what happened, but I had my left leg folded up under me, my ankle twisted and I was lunging OUT THE DOOR. I caught myself, but really ultra-rotated an already bad knee. I got myself unfolded and my knee hurt SO bad. I hit myself with 800 mg of ibuprophen, got an ice bag and elevated the leg. I KNEW I wouldn't be able to go to work today. I hobbled & mostly kept off it for half the day, then all seemed to go back to normal. Go figure. But I was really scared that I had finally done that knee in.
Anyway ladies ... it's time to shower and go mo-pedin'!
But today my knee

Gosh Janice, I hope the knee will be o.k. It's too bad you have to work in such pain! Here's hoping it's nothing serious and it heals quickly.
I hope Kiwi wasn't laughing.

though you think its all back to normal. I know its no fun but surgery isn't either.
Now be careful!!

I'm at lunch ... I actually felt good enough to go out & train some mo-peders today. Good thing they were all quick learners & I didn't have to be -- ahem -- agile. Some of those "never-befores" scare the bee-jeezus outta me. 'Specially those whose panic response is to crank on the throttle. WHOA!
I've found that keeping the knees moving helps a LOT. But I am being careful. When I'm not clumsy.

Moving the knee might help by not allowing it to freeze - but if there's any associated pain, please get it checked out.
I'm so happy for you though that it appears you might have just twisted it and the initial treatment took care of the problem. Just, again, please be careful and keep an eye on it for any swelling, pain, etc.

Oh my,..... that didn't sound good. I'm glad that you seem to be doing better now. I've got bad knees too, but so far this summer they are both behaving quite well,... let's hope we can both keep our knees in line for a long time yet!
