Do ya'll remember the guy who did that "Last Lecture" thing, Randy Pausch? What a great lecture he did about not giving up but to continue your life right up to the last minute. To continue to live life to the fullest and to continue to grow.

He has died at home. Caught this from Yahoo News yesterday and thought I would share. Hopefully the link is still good.

I saw him in the Diane Sawyer interview, and also on Oprah. What a wonderful spirit he had! God bless him, his widow and their sweet children.

I hope that I could live with such 'grace' should I ever be diagnosed with a terminal disease. He was a riveting speaker.

We can all learn from him -

And if some of our women on this forum want to speak up, I believe we have some who are quietly living similar existences - although maybe without quite the same limit to their lives.

Yes, we have to live our lives to the fullest and best of our abilities and enjoy every day - cuz while he had some knowledge that his end was coming - none of us do - it could be today or tomorrow - we might not have the years we all expect and hope. So live and enjoy today.

Of all the things that float around and get passed around on the net two of them that I have gotten, I've really liked. Like a dummy I didn't think to keep copies of either one.
One of them is how I would want to go out.

The first one is about the 'dash' in your life. And it asks the question "what did you do with the dash in your life"?
The other one that I would like to be, tells a little story and at the end it says something about sliding into the grave with one shoe off, hair all messed up and laughing your head off saying "hell what a ride that was"!

That's how I wanna go out. Cause I always have to wonder. How do you know when your to old???

Ah, yes, Echo - love those - and here's some info on The Dash - it's originally a poem by Linda Ellis - and here is a wonderful short movie that was taking her poem and putting it to pics and music:
