Well the shop called and the truck was ready. They showed DH how they spliced and made a repair...that they warranted for 1 year. We were back on the road by 1pm and made it to Cedar City, Utah. Once settled in to the site...DH decided to just check out the repair and made sure it was all okay. Well it was not..they left too much slack in the line and now we have a cut higher up in the wires. DH was able to make some minor splice and repairs to 4 of the 5 wires. We called our mechanic...who we are good friends with. The good news is we should be able to make it to Boise. This part is designed to kick on and help cool the engine when the AC unit is running. Apparently in searching the net..and Dodge Ram forums...this seems to be common issue. So DH had it zip tied and duct taped..to hopefully hold it in place so it doesn't get cut more with the fan unit. We will keep an eye on it and if it gets worse we may just cut it off...to get to Boise.
I just hope it all holds.

Once in Boise...we will make arrangement to get it replaced. DH and the older kids will fly home, as they have stuff they need to get home for. Then Kodie and I will layover in Boise, where my extended family all lives. Once it is repaired we will then head home.

So send us good travel vibes that things hold together for the 500 + miles we have to get to Boise on Friday. We plan to leave bright and early.

Kristy, what a trip you have had, what's the plans for next trip ! You will be in my prayers for your family's safe trip to Boise and quick but competent repair. Just think of it as some girl time with you and Kodie. Keep us informed and I will pray that Jesus send his Angels with you.
