We got into LV today and the truck was overheating. We pulled over and waited, cooled down and then made it the 4 miles to the Air Force Base RV Park. It is the Electronic Fan Cooling unit and wires. The wire bracket had apprently come loose and then when we cooled enough to pull it into it's site. The wire caught up in the fan. We ducted taped it all up and were able to get it into it's site. Now our mechanic back home is working on finding us one here so we can get the truck fixed.
We are hoping that we can find someone that can get it fixed tomorrow...but just in case they have us penciled in here through to Saturday.

I told DH to look on the positive side..it happend in a big city and we are at the Air Force Base, so we have lots of things that we can do on base. We will most likely get a rental car. My mom and sister and her family are also all here, but about 20 miles from us in a condo.

My sister and her family had planned on staying one more day. My mom was going to join us today and head back to Boise with us on Wed (tomorrow morning). We had planned on being in Boise at my Brothers for 4th of July weekend.

I really really want to back to Boise by the 4th.

Family reunion was great and went awesome...Pine Top, AZ is beautiful. We then spent yesterday afternoon and evening at the Grand Canyon. We went on a guided twilight hike. It was so great. So now Kodie has earned the Grand Circle Junior Ranger badges...Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon. She really loves doing the activities and such.

Well I am on the computer in the RV park lounge...as it is 105 here and the trailer is still warm, but it is nice and AC here.

Well our mechanic back home located us a good shop here. So we dropped the truck off last night at the after hours drop off. Then headed down to the strip to meet up with my mom, sister and her family. DS 12 road the roller coaster at New York, New York. I wanted to do it also...but at $14.00/person and not knowing what was wrong with the truck...I opted out.

So they are looking at the truck as I type. The shop called about 8am and we talked about exactly what happened. They also took the number of our mechanic..so they can work together.

We did find out from our mechanic that there is a warranty notice...for the part that we think may be the culprit which is the electronic cooling fan assembly. So at first they thought it would be best to take it to the Dodge Dealership...we called the one here and they said it would be 2-3 days before they could even look at it. So we had our mechanic call them...with the failure notice and the dealership service adviser was a jerk. So our mechanic called us back and said he would work on finding another shop to take it too.

So anyway...we are here for the time being. The RV park staff has been FANTASTIC...they let the kids hang out in the club house and even put on cartoons for them, as DH I set up the trailer and got the AC going..and worked on figuring out what to do...we did call the rental car place on the base here and they came and picked up DH and took him over there. So we have a rental car so we can get around. In reality now...after dealing with traffic on the strip last night and the parking...it is much easier to have a sedan then the big dodge truck, as it would be to high for many of the parking garages.

We recently took our MH to LV to repair the dash air. Had to stay in a hotel, so wound up at Sam's Town. Guess if we had to hang out, there was plenty to do, pool, sights, etc. Supposedly got our rig fixed, although it broke again after we took off. Got it fixed later in Carson City-didn't use a Fleetwood place even though it was under warranty. Sometimes we just want it to work-----. :D So, hope all goes well and you get to Boise for the 4th. We just made reservations in Trinidad, CA for that weekend. My DH was concerned that we wouldn't be able to find a place otherwise-I hate to make reservations-gets in the way of jelloing. carold
